The Provisional Electoral Council has unveiled the official calendar for the 2026-2027 elections. The first round of the presidential election, the legislative elections and the constitutional referendum are scheduled for December 13, 2026, while the second round and the territorial elections will be held on February 21, 2027.
The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) published on Monday the official schedule of electoral operations for the period 2026-2027, marking a new step in the preparation for the return to elected institutions in Haiti.
According to the document released by the electoral institution, the first round of the presidential election, the legislative elections and the constitutional referendum are scheduled for December 13, 2026.
The second round of the presidential election, the second round of the legislative elections, and the elections for local authorities are scheduled for February 21, 2027.
The CEP presents this timetable as an important step in conducting the electoral process aimed at restoring the country’s democratic institutions.
