The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is launching a training program aimed at professionalizing the management of Haitian embassies and consulates, as part of the reforms undertaken to modernize the diplomatic network.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship (MAEC) launched, on Monday in Port-au-Prince, the training of the first cohort of the Pool of Diplomatic Administrators, a program delivered by the Jean Price-Mars Diplomatic Academy.
This initiative is part of the reforms undertaken by the government of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé to modernize the public administration, strengthen governance and improve the management of state resources.
At the launch ceremony, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs, Raina Forbin, explained that this training aims to gradually equip Haitian diplomatic and consular missions with qualified administrators.
According to her, these future leaders will be tasked with ensuring more efficient, transparent, and logistical administrative, financial management that conforms to the standards of modern diplomacy.
